ISO 9001:2008 Certification Renewed for Omnitracs, Extended to Omnitracs Roadnet and Omnitracs XRS

Omnitracs, LLC, a global pioneer of fleet management solutions to transportation and logistics companies, today announced the recertification and expansion of its ISO 9001:2008 certification, in accordance with the global quality management system standards. While Omnitracs technology was initially certified in 1996 as part of a broad portfolio of solutions, it achieved comprehensive standalone certification in 2013, and today, this new certification confirms that both Omnitracs Roadnet and Omnitracs XRS products have achieved same.

The ISO 9000 family addresses various aspects of quality management and is based on eight principles: customer focus, leadership, involvement of people, process approach, system approach, continual improvement, fact-based decision making, and mutually beneficial supplier relationships. In order to comply with the standards, Omnitracs put rigorous management procedures in place, including:

  • Establishment of an internal audit program
  • Incorporation of customer feedback into the quality loop (survey, call center, etc.)
  • Completion of a detailed third-party process audit by Dekra Certification Inc., which has been accredited by ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board
  • Demonstration of excellence in business processes and management systems
  • Development of internal root cause and corrective action methodologies to combat real-time quality and customer issues
  • Maintenance of comprehensive documentation repository
