Safety 2012 Reflections & 2013 Predictions from FleetRisk Advisors
Over the past year, I’ve attended a number of industry events, many of which centered on fleet safety. Based on the various topics debated at these discussions, it is clear the industry continues to be highly invested in keeping drivers safe and connected, and enabling fleet managers to proactively monitor and address driver behavior. Each of these issues are spurring investigations around the new EOBR mandate, CSA and HOS initiative, and subsequent implications to driver and fleet safety, which will carry over into the New Year.
A Look into the “Crystal Ball of Safety” Workshop at the 2012 Safety & Security Division Annual Meeting
At the TCA’s Safety & Security Division Meeting, I had the privilege to host the “Crystal Ball of Safety” workshop with C.R. England’s Corporate Vice President of Safety and Compliance, Dustin England. The Safety & Security Division Meeting was packed with great information and we were excited that both “Crystal Ball of Safety” sessions were well attended, with at least 40 or 50 people at each one.
