While we don’t have a crystal ball to tell us what’s going to happen in the future, Maverick Transportation has the second best thing—predictive analytics. Through FleetRisk Advisor’s predictive modeling, we increased our business intelligence by identifying behavioral trends in our daily operational data that posed the greatest risks to our fleet. This allowed us to proactively address issues before they impacted our profitability. In fact, we were recently honored by Computerworld with a “Best of BI Editor’s Choice Award” for our data-driven processes.
A while back, we acquired FleetRisk Advisors, a pioneer in applying predictive analytics and remediation to the transportation industry to aid carriers in identifying and reducing everyday events such as preventable accidents or employee turnover. The real value with this technology is being able to intervene with drivers before they get into trouble. FleetRisk Advisors has been able to statistically prove that a driver’s accident probability can be reduced by at least 80 percent by offering the right remediation to the right driver at the right time.
