The use of electronic on-board recorders (EOBRs) has grown significantly in the past few years. EOBR systems have proven to be very effective tools for hours of service (HOS) compliance management. However, there seems to be misperceptions about the use of EOBRs. Dave Kraft, Director of Industry Affairs at Qualcomm, hosted a webinar to debunk some common myths about EOBRs and explain how fleets can use EOBRs to help improve their Compliance Safety Accountability (CSA) score. We also heard first hand from fleets, including Central Refrigerated Service and Emerson Express Co., about their experiences implementing and using EOBRs.
