Welcome to the inaugural post of the Qualcomm Enterprise Services blog, Qualcomm Road Ahead! My name is Norm Ellis, and I am the vice president of sales, services and marketing for QES. I look forward to plenty of interesting two-way discussions taking place on the pages of this blog in the coming weeks and months. My Qualcomm colleagues and I are excited about this new venue for sharing information and collaboration and we hope you will join us in these digital discussions.
We are very excited to share with you a number of things via Qualcomm Road Ahead. Our team is full of bright individuals who are experts in their field. They will be sharing their ideas on a variety of topics with you. With the ever-changing landscape of the commercial trucking industry, I think you will enjoy tips, insight and commentary on pertinent issues from my colleagues, including Dave Kraft, Vikas Jain and Michele MacCollum. We want Qualcomm Road Ahead to be an additional resource for you for information and for all of us who are engaged in the commercial transportation industry.
And we won’t just be talking about ourselves! There are plenty of important topics affecting our industry—regulations, safety, fleet technology, driver turnover, and more--and you can expect to hear from a number of our peers and partners who will share their keen views and experiences. We intend Qualcomm Road Ahead to become a forum where together we can come to discuss the latest news and technology developments. We invite you to comment on topics you like, and even the ones that you don’t like. We want to hear from you and learn from you.
Looking ahead, we have some interesting content on deck to share with you. Return to this blog often—or, better yet, subscribe to the RSS feed—to learn more about Vision 2012, our management conference for transportation and logistics; our latest platform, MCP50, launched earlier this month and now providing solutions to even more fleets of all sizes; a recap of how leading private fleets are leveraging mobile fleet management technology; and much more. We look forward to continuing the conversation with you.
